2014 Team Leader Job Description

 

Brian Kyles Landscape of Distinction™ is seeking motivated Team Leaders to join our family-owned and operated team. This is a full-time, year-long position with benefits. Among other things, Team Leaders are experienced landscape professionals who possess proven leadership skills and ability. Versatile and well-rounded Team Leaders at Brian Kyles are responsible for leading various landscape installation, enhancement and maintenance crews on residential and commercial accounts. In addition, they are often called upon to interface with clients in a professional and expeditious manner.

Required Qualifications & Attributes:

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• Valid Driver’s License with the ability to meet our insurance requirements.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to our drug-free workplace policies. Brian Kyles is a Drug Free Safety Program (DFSP) employer through the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
• Previous and recent landscape design, installation or maintenance experience.
• Industry knowledge and experience, including the operation of various industry equipment and small-engine machines.
• Proven communication skills, both written and oral, in addition to accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to understand and prioritize job duties and follow detailed instructions.
• Excellent leadership skills to be able to manage crews consisting of anywhere from two to five Team Members.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Clean, professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes:

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Customer service experience and the ability to identify and resolve customer concerns.
• A commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the desire to obtain one upon employment.
• Willingness to learn new trades and skills and obtain professional and/or industry certifications.
• Industry certifications and/or licensures.
• Spanish language skills.

Currently in its second generation of family ownership, Brian Kyles Landscape of Distinction™ has been providing complete landscape services to both businesses and residences located throughout the northeast Ohio area for almost three decades. As a full-service company, we specialize in affordable, high-quality landscape design, installation and maintenance services. At present, our office is located at 875 North Ridge Road East, Lorain, Ohio. In the near future, we will relocate to the recently constructed Brian-Kyles Office Park located at 875 North Ridge Road East, just two miles west of State Route 254 and State Route 57 intersection.
